MUTANDE ROSSEEEE!!!!

Buongiorno a tutti!
Io mi sono appena svegliata ed ora sto mangiando pandoro in divano davanti ai Simpsons! Sweet Saturday.

Visto che questa sera e' l'ultimo dell'anno e' d'obbligo indossare un paio di mutande rosse di buon auspicio. E' doppiamente d'obbligo per chi come me ha lavato tutte le altre paia di mutande ed ha solo quelle da mettere :D

BUONI PROPOSITI PER L'ANNO NUOVO

Il nuovo anno si avvicina ed io mi spavento davanti alla quantita' di buoni propositi che dovrei considerare per l'anno nuovo. Citiamone giusto alcuni....

- Svegliarsi prima la mattina, possibilmente facendo colazione a casa e non in ufficio -_-
- Mangiare meglio e meno schifezze
- Amministrare meglio le mie finanze
- Tenere piu' in ordine il mio armadio
- Solo per quest'anno che viene: viaggiare di piu' (quest'anno ho fatto solo 2 vacanze, mentre l'anno prima per esempio mi ricordo che avevo contato addirittura di aver preso 18 aerei!!! Super travel year! Back to that!!)
- Leggere di piu i giornali e guardare di piu i telegiornali (oltre ai blog fashion/home design leggo Sailor Moon e Sandokan....)
- Perche' adottare un bambino a distanza con 30€ al mese quando con lo stesso sforzo posso aiutare questi poveri disgraziati che vendono accedini e fiori?? Il mio buon proposito e' di dare 1€ al giorno ad uno di loro. Non che i bambini non ne abbiano bisogno eh!!!!!! Pero' pure questi ne hanno!

Altri non me ne vengono in mente ma me ne verranno sicuro... -_-

Devo essere sincera e' persino abbastanza in ordine! E' un pax dell'Ikea ad ante scorrevoli ed essendo componibile l'ho creato completamente in base alle mie esigenze ed e' quindi abbatanza facile tenerlo in ordine!
Ci ho messo pure le lucine automatiche.. :)

RESIDENCE VISIT

Tra i vari compiti sbrigati oggi c'e' stato anche quello piacevole di andare con la mia collega a visitare un bellissimo residence in pieno centro per degli ospiti russi. Ecco alcune foto che ho scattato durante la visita:





Il residence si chiama Palace Suite ed e' situato nel bellissimo palazzo in stile liberty "Terni - Dei Rossi", personalmente il piu' bell'edificio di Trieste! :)

MAMMAS KYCKLINGSGRYTA

Buongiorno a tutti!
Solo un breve post per rendervi partecipi della nostra cena di ieri :)





Kycklingsgryta (ricetta della mia mamma svedese)
Ho perso la ricetta da qualche parte durante il trasloco insieme al mio balsamo e -ahi ahi- ai miei occhiali di Gucci :( ma mi ricordo benissimo come si fa, non sono sicura solo delle proporzioni, ma ecco gli ingredienti:

1 porro
2 petti di pollo
pomodori secchi
olive nere snocciolate
Total fage crema
pasta (io preferisco le tagliatelle)

Salta in padella con l'olio il pollo e il porro entrambi tagliati a fette finche' non si rosolano.
Aggiungi Totale Fage e un po di sale e lascia cucinare (purtroppo non mi ricordo quanto, andate un po' ad occhio).
Poco prima di chiudere il fuoco (a circa 5 minuti dalla fine) aggiungi i pomodori e le olive tagliati a fettine.

Nel frattempo cucina la pasta!

ENJOYING MY NEW CRIB

Innanzitutto buon Natale a tutte/i in ritardo, e i miei migliori auguri per l'anno nuovo!!
Io ho passato un Natale cosi cosi, purtroppo sono stata colpita dall'influenza e quindi non ho potuto godermi appieno le feste, inoltre il giorno di Natale e la sera di Santo Stefano ho pure lavorato.. :S

Mi si e' anche rotta la reflex -forse causa trasloco- per cui non ho la possibilita' di farvi vedere qualche bello scatto della casa nuova, ma ho questw due foto fatte ieri con l'iPhone:





Nell'ultimo periodo un po' per vari malanni un po' per le spese per arredare l'appartamento (quasi finite!!!!!) un po per l'inverno mi sto proprio godendo la mia nuova casetta! <3

HOME ACCESSORIES PLANNING

La nostra casa finalmente sta prendendo forma e la prossima domenica andremo all'Ikea a prendere alcune mensole, librerie ed altre stupidaggini varie, dopodichè la casa si può dire pressocchè finita (al di là del mobile del bagno, che dovrei andare a ordinare domani e verrebbe consegnato in un mese circa..)

Tra le altre cose, ci mancano anche una gran varietà di accessori indispensabili in qualsiasi casa, tra cui posate, piatti e bicchieri. Ecco alcuni dei modelli che mi piacciono:

NOVEMBRE

Buongiorno a tutte/i da una grigia Trieste. Io sono in Capitaneria -eh gia', oggi lavoro, d'altraparte devo mettere da parte un bel gruzzolo per continuare ad arredare la mia casetta <3
Al momento abbiamo tutte le cose essenziali, arrivate pure le porte -delle quali ancora devo mostrarvi le foto.... -_- e comprata la lavatrice..
L'unica cosa ancora di abbastanza essenziale che ci manca e' il mobile del bagno con il lavandino, il resto sono solo piccole cose e decorazioni, che pero' in effetti rendono la casa personale ed accogliente!

Al piu' presto devo comprarmi il mac, ultimamente sto bloggando -una volta ogni morte del papa per la verita'.....- dall'iPhone, ho dovuto disfarmi del computer fisso che usavo in casa vecchia per via del poco spazio in casa nuova, ed il Mac e' nella lista delle cose da comprare! :)

Oggi che fate in questo 1 novembre? Io ho passato un periodo di lieve depressione da mancanza di viaggi ;) come ricorderete di solito di novembre viaggio, e stare qui quest'anno un po' mi intristisce un po' perche' mi ero abituata a un mega viaggio all'anno e un po' perche' novembre in europa fa cagare... ;)

BACK TO ITALIAN..

I think I'm gonna go back to write in italian, I noticed most of readers (at least most that left comments...) are italian, so I think it will be appreciated by them to read this blog back to italian...

Any of you interested in reading it in english, speak up! Let me know! I don't know how many you guys are...



Non so se avete avuto modo di leggere il testo sottostante, ma penso di ritornare a scrivere in italiano... che ne pensate?? Ho pensato che la maggior parte di voi (almeno quelli di voi che commentano..) sono italiani, per cui mi sembra inutile scrivere in inglese quando i lettori leggono in italiano...

 

Oggi volevo deliziarvi con la mia ultima disavventura casalinga... L'altra settimana, dopo diverse sere passate nella lavanderia self service sotto casa, ho finalmente deciso di comprare una lavatrice! Fiera del mio nuovo acquisto, decido di provarla lavando una parte delle 70 tonnellate di roba sporca che occupa 3/4 del mio bagno, ma con scarsi risultati: finito il lavaggio ed iniziata la centrifuga la lavatrice si anima di vita propria e comincia a saltare per il bagno, tanto che mi stacca il tubo dell'acqua allagando tutto il bagno..... -_-

Indignata, chiamo il servizio tecnico, spiegando il dramma. Il servizio mi dice che non è normale e che manderanno qualcuno, ma quando chiudo il telefono ed alzo gli occhi tutti i soliti inutili colleghi mi guardano con aria interrogativa... Tra le varie insinuazioni e i soliti inutili commenti ce n'è in effetti uno utile.. "ma hai tolto i fermi del cesto??"

.........

Che fermi...????

E' appunto venuto fuori che andavano tolti i fermi, cosa quel menagramo del mio ragazzo non ha fatto....!!!

Così chiamo il servizio con la coda fra le gambe e provvederò a far togliere i fermi a Chri tra una frustata e l'altra... ;)

 

Uno dei commenti più belli è stato comunque quello del mio capo:

Collega 1: "e adesso cosa fai con questa lavatrice..??"

Il capo: ".. trasporti..!!"

PRESENT FOR ME

Yesterday I worked until 3 in the morning, and lately I'm spending literally all my money in furnitures and similar crap. Therefore my mood sank drastically yesterday, an I decided to stop by a Sephora shop during the afternoon to full my eyes with sparkling bottles of colourful products and glittery creams, and of course I exited the shop with a bag containing these babies:





Facial scrub (use to have it but then I got prescipted roaccutan last winter and couldnt use it anymore.. Now my face is pimple free and I can take full advantage of the benefits of this marvellous scrub!! :) )
Talasso-scrub - makes ur body skin soft as velvet smells good and costs way too much..!!! ;)

Now I cant afford food or toilet paper for the rest of the month.. ;)

WALL IDEAS

This blog is turning into a home design blog.. :)

 

Was browsing for ideas for my living room or possibly even bedroom's wall.. As you maeby remember I wanted to recreate that "shabby chic style" with white vertical wooden panels.

As this style might be complicated to recreate I was considering this idea, applying wallpaper or painting, dunno...

HOUSE - UPDATE

I'm spending my days between home design pages, friends, city festivals (we just had the "Barcolana" regatta, best festival of the year) band rehearsal, work and not much more..

Autumn is a wonderful season, not sure if my favourite, summer is also rocking, but autumn has its own charm..

Sorry for bad updating, I leave you guys quickly with some pictures of my flat: we are working almost daily on it, still work in progress everywhere.. Here u go!

bedroom is the most into-shape room.

We miss just some shelves over the bed,

to save space to stow books and other thing handy to have near the bed

we miss a WHOLE lot... especially in decorations..

red covers on the sofa are temporary..!!!

BENNO cd holder is going back to IKEA..

I made a mistake, instead are going to buy another BILLY

Ah, we also miss doors.... -_-

Again, so much to fix..

Obviously, as you all imaginated, everything comes from IKEA..

and we even built ALL (except half kitchen..) by our own!! :)

HALF KITCHEN IS ON

Home. After more than 8 hours work. Building my kitchen.. Gosh, how can it be so complicated?? After all, I spent a pleasant day with Chri, dad, some beer and popcorn! :) But building the kitchen was more complicated than expected! We successed building just half of it, will continue tomorrow with -hopefully- the rest!

MOVED

Done. Yesterday we could pack ALL of our stuff -including cat- and left our former flat. I've been looking forward the whole summer to move into the new place but leaving the old one was pretty sad! I loved the place an we spent there more than 2 years! We had so many things to move and fix that I didnt even realize we actually did leave the place! :(

Beside, I'm staying at Dad's, with Dad and bro. Living with 2 boys, worse thing!!

At the moment our new place is a construction site-slash-warehouse: contractors are goin back and forth every day (luckily we have a 40sqm flat! Think if we had, like, 100..!! Mad!) and it's packed with our stuff, and kitchen and bed! We and contractors can barely move... O_O

WORK IN PROGRESS

I'm exausted! But today was a great day: I got up at 6:45 to go to my new place and supervise contractors' work on my new wall, and meanwhile they were ripping, painting, nailing and whatsoever, I went back and forth with a cart moving almost all the boxes left at my place. I walked all the way from the old flat to the new one, cause it's appr. 1 km between them and it would be much more complicated to load and unload the boxes onto and from the car, let be find a parking place.. So I walked the whole day throught the city center pushing a cart but looking at shop's windows and bumping into a lot of people I knew!

I also spent some time at the new place to paint some scrap wooden panels dad gave me, just to see how the effect would be. The idea is to cover one of the living room's walls with it, this would be the desired effect:



Do u like it? At the beginning I intended to place them in the bedroom, and horizontally, but that simply doesnt work.. Panels are not long enough and the bedroom is already too crowded with bed, air conditioner and a master wardrobe..

Wall works will proceed on monday, electrician will also come on monday to make some changes at the electricity panel and tiles are due to be on kitchen wall by tuesday! Pics will follow! :)

I find all this so funny and exciting!!!! :D

FALL?

Today is raining here in Trieste.. Actually quite a relief from the sick hot of the latest days! Is this a sign that fall is on its way? I'm looking forward for this summer to end, I love summer it's my favourite season, but not especially THIS summer, which was either wet and cold for a long time and insanely hot the past 2-3 weeks, beside my apartament will finally be ready and we can finally move in!
I'm meetin up with dad in 20 minutes to buy some wood panel, which will be applied on our bedroom's wall, witg this "shabby-chic" effect:

YELLOW DRESS

Hola! I just got up, me and Pucio, who seems to be ubiquitous :) are planning some home furnitures! Outside's just too hot so I'm planning to lay on my ass at least half a day! :D Beside, I have things to do: must plan these funitures so I'll know exactly where the wall must be placed and must send the "project" to an architect friend of mine who is going to take care of it!

 

Yesterday I went out with Fernanda! God I have to take a course in portuguese, the language is just too much fun I love it!! We had a great night as always but we had to retreat home quite soon due to some storm rain :(

GOSSIP GIRL: YES AND NO-S

Lately -beside pack and organize all of my crap- I've been watching a lot Gossip Girl in the evenings, I bought the first 3 seasons on Amazon some while ago. I must admit it, it's endearing, but I expected so much more, especially from the characters!! Before watch it on TV I used to read the books of Cecily Von Ziegesar, and the characters were so much more captivating: Serena was described as model-beauty, the kind of one you stare in admiration when they walk down the streets, and lil Jenny Humphrey was a curly brown-haired wild chick with boobs so big that embarassed her, Vanessa was bold, Serena's BIGGER brother Eric (non smaller..) was out to college and was as fascinating as her, and Eleanor Waldorf was a fat wreck-mother who re-married with a certain Cyrus Rose, who Blair hated, and who had a son, Aaron, who hooked up with both Serena and Vanessa...

OK they changed the story a little, that's fair, but according to me they weren't able to keep the fascinating features of the characters, who made every single character just itself. I found most of them empty and only full of dramas..

I also found them pretty ugly.. The only ones I liked were Blair (superb Leighton Meester and SOO alike Blair's book character), Lily van der Woodsen, Chuck Bass - even if a little different from the book's character, Nate Archibald and Jenny Humphrey -even if very different from the original character I really liked Taylor Momsen. I liked so and so Dan Humphrey, too similar to Seth Cohen from the OC, and I really disliked Serena! This chick Blake Lively totally lacks of charm, and I even disliked her actress's skills...

One character I really liked was Georgina Sparks: mysterious and charming, who best than superb Michelle Trachtenberg could play that role? I started to love her when staying up all nights watching Buffy! :) If anyone could play Serena Van Der Woodsen in respect of the real character that could have been her!

What do you think of GG serie? Did you read the books? Do you like all the characters?

LEXINGTON

Date fixed!!! Finally I got the appointment with the notary for the last signs and contract, on the 30th! After that date, depending on how tiles and wall works go on, I can finally move in in my new apartment!

I'm organizing and moving lotsa stuff right now, jeez how much crap I had!!! I threw in the garbage a whole part already, and lotsa other stuff were sorted out and are going to my best friends: I'm organizing a bingo night-slash-pijama party at mines next Friday, where I put all the -nice- stuff I don't use (or never used..) on a bingo and we are going to play while we drink the enormous amount of every kind of booze I still have at home from past parties and God knows where.. :S

I also wanted to share with you a very cute home design brand I just discovered: Lexington! I walked by a friend of mine's shop yesterday on my way home, and found everything adorable! J-U-S-T the style I wanted to create at my place, and beside other, as lovely, she was selling also this Lexington brand. Some pictures I found on their web site:

SOME HOME INSPIRATION. WHITE WHITE WHITE.

Aahh sorry to be more and more lazy in updating this blog! This is now the usual starting sentence of every post.. not a good sign.. I'm looking forward to move in in my new hole ehm I meant place ;) to finally settle down and start typing regularly again with my brand new silver Mac from my brand new white sofa :D

Time is now finally coming, I should be moving in beginning of september, and this also means that I am at my busiest now, it's finally about time to buy furnitures and not just plan it, but for the very moment I have to still hold it for a while and wait for some stupid paper to finally sign the mortgage contract and get the apartment! :)
Meanwhile, here the style I like at the moment, I'm doin a lot of it lately, I mean browsing home design magazines and iPhone pages :)





A mix of luxury from the "beachy" style of Hamptons and a touch of scandinavian clean white typical from the beach areas of southern Sweden where I used to live!

ME AND MY BRO ARE TWO IDIOTS

Hola!

It's about time to go to sleep and I'm sitting in bed in my red sox pijamas (a shirt I stole fm my man ah ah :) )

Today I had to work, and it was kinda hard cos I had to get up at 5 and the weather reminded the eastern monsoons....

But I had the time to go over to dad's and my bro was around. He just got a new mobile (some touch screen dont remeber thing) and had tons of dum apps in it. One of these being the google translator: u speak in the thing and it writes down what u said and translates it into the choosen language, but it actually SAY the sentence, and it was really really accurate (very useful app actually!!) so we spent the WHOLE afternoon speaking into our mobile phones so they kept talking bullshit!!! Ah ah ah!!!! My dad disappeared after 30 seconds eh eh!!!









I'm now refering to my boyfriend only speaking throughout this app! I think he might just left .... :D

FERDAY NIGHT OUTFIT

Hola!

Today I'm totally relaxing.. got up at something like 14.45...!! It was long time ago since I could sleep so much! I need my beauty sleep... pfft ah ah..!!

Yesterday however I got home at 2 more or less, went out with Fernanda to celebrate weekly Ferday! I wasn't dressed much party though, I went out first at 6 pm to catch up with my friend Tina and her 4 months lovely toddler Viola, and remained out til I met Fernanda so I chose something easy and fresh. Breaking news!! So apparently, sometimes even I am lucky! :)
I just got these supersweet sandals for free!

Not enough, I wanted to buy them every single time I passed throughout the shop but somehow always managed not to do it, because I'm saving my money lately and also because they're very popular in my town so almoust every girl has a pair of these..

But when a colleague of mine breaked into the office today asking "Anybody interested in a pair of sandals?" I went not much caring "Let's see...." and when she popped up these babies I almost burnst into tears (OK not so dramatic... ;) )

Ah I'll have to buy her lunch or something! So sweet!

NEW BLACKBERRY PINK COVER

Some time ago I ordered on Amazon some covers for mine and my colleagues' new blackberries!

Sure it's sweet! ;)





I bought 4 covers in 4 different colours so we can always recognized our mobile from each other, having all the same model! Now we are like the rainbow...!!! :D

The covers costed something like 1,99 £ each, plus appr. 5£ for shipment! Peanuts! I love Amazon, I shop there very often (mostly DVDs of series which I cant find in Italy) and have never been disappointed! Recommended! :)

Will grab some lunch now!

PLANNING NEXT TRIP

Yesterday evening we didn't do much beside playing Guitar Hero, watched a stupid reality on TV which I love (called Tamarreide, it's about a bunch of italian puckos that wear trendy and suppose to be cool but are actually just weird, and a camera follows them towards Italy when they cross it living all togheter -8 persons- on a bus..) and after that couldnt catch sleep so I browsed for long time into past pages of my blog!

Especially, I read a lot about my past trips, do u remember Australia, when I was travelling broker than a vase, and had to have money sent from Italy even to catch the train from the airport to home???

And Bali, when we left with a debit of very few euros but even though no way we could pay it..??

And how could I forget my visit to NYC with like 70°C of feber....

Just now I'm planning my next trip, even though it's not sure we can make it because of the flat I just bought. But we'll see! We want to Hawaii! Maeby just a stop in LA on the way. Sure I would like to make it a bigger thing, drive to Las Vegas, see the Canyon blabla but I really don't think this year we can afford it.. 3 weeks surfing the hawaiian waves will have to do... ;)

WEEKEND IN VENICE

Hola!

What did I do this weekend?
Well beside buying a pallet of like 5 Kilos containig the whole Guitar Hero set, and walked it home looking like a complete idiot (or Santa...) I've also visited for the FIRST TIME IN MY WHOLE LIFE the city of Venice.
This doesn't sound much strange, but the thing that I live 2 hours by train away from it, flown from it like 49 times and am 26 years old... it makes it RIDICOLOUS!!!
Not enough, I just went there to meet an old friend of mine, travelling across Europe from Australia, so I ended up with a bunch of Australians showing me around Venice... Ah ah oh my God, shame!!! Should be the exact opposite.. Oh well. I had good fun though it was very nice to see my friend again!

EVENING BY THE SEASIDE

I'm actually awake and working from this morning at 06.00, was meant to write this yesterday but have no credit in the iPhone and have to use the rare wireless connections in the air i can find in stupid Italy...

From today I have not much to share yet, beside the fact that this morning i had breakfast at the bar just beneath my flat, and that strongly reminded me of that time me and my bestfriend Alessia went home to a friend of us and made him up and dressed him like a woman. Because of that an hairdryer came in need so we rang the bell of our friend's neighboor at -like- 11 in the evening to find a perfectly bold guy and so we went:
"well.. yer... U know we wanted to borrow an hairdryer....???"
Guy staring at us in a mix of disbelief and anger...
"well u know.. How could we know..? u might could have an haired girlfriend..."
SBAM!

And why breakfast reminded me of that specific anecdote? Yer, the guy that ownes the bar is the same bold guy!!! Ahahahha!!! :)

HOME DESIGN PLANNING

Oh gosh! 20 past 9 and I'm still handling paperworks at the harbour master, sticky and swetty as Madonna in her sweet and sticky tour, in very deep need of a shower! :)

Today, beside the usual work, I had the time to go to the tiles shop and order the tiles for my kitchen!
This is a picture taken from the Ikea catalogue, from which I took inspiration and whose tiles are exactly the same I ordered, so my kitchen will look exactly like the one in the picture!





I'm also looking around for nice lamps, especially a special one for the living room, above some favourites if the day!
